Massimo Villani

I'm the founder and musical director of my band, the Villani Dance. I'm afraid my bandmates get sometimes a bit fed up, because, they say, I'm always looking for the right groove and sound. What are they? Mmmh! It's rather hard to explain, but - still according to my bandmates - the sign we're getting things right is when they see my 88 teeth smile (all white, of course).
My keyboards are said to speak! It's a pity they once didn't say "Hey man, don't forget us!" before I left home for a gig! My approach to music started with classical piano, but I got specialised in jazz piano with A. Alberti and R. Fassi, in Rome. I played with a number of jazz combos, pop music acts and for TV broadcasts. I cooperate with Paolo Frescura and the RAI as composer. I teach piano applying my personal method of contemporary piano.
I'm firmly convinced that Duke Ellington, Chick Corea, Astor Piazzolla and JS Bach really stand out!
